What is Muscle Reactivation?

Muscle Reactivation is a specialized technique designed to wake up dormant muscles. Sometimes, due to a previous injury, physical trauma, or simple overuse, a muscle will stop responding to the signals sent by your brain. The muscle does not necessarily shrink or atrophy, but it starts acting weak and forces other muscles to do its job. This technique restores that vital brain-to-muscle connection so your body can function properly.

How is it performed?

First, we use gentle muscle testing to identify exactly which muscles are dormant and prioritize which one your body wants us to address first. I will isolate a specific muscle and ask you to resist as I apply light pressure. If the muscle gives way easily, it tells us it is dormant.

To reactivate it, I stimulate specific acupressure points and perform a targeted adjustment to the corresponding area of your spine. This process resets how your nervous system communicates with that muscle. You might feel a brief moment of tenderness at the acupressure points, but that fades immediately. Afterward, we retest the muscle, and you will find you can easily resist the pressure.

What are the results?

Your muscle will typically regain its strength immediately. If a muscle has been dormant for many years, it might tire a little faster than usual at first, but it regains its full stamina very quickly. Because your muscles are finally doing the jobs they were designed to do, you will experience better posture, increased stability, and significantly less daily fatigue. Your body will no longer have to recruit the wrong muscles for everyday tasks, which greatly reduces your risk of future injuries and keeps your joints properly aligned.
